The Tygerberg Heritage Festival nominated and voted HewLin Compassion to win this year's Community Award at their annual Tygerberg Heritage 'Let's Talk' Awards.

Tygerberg Heritage Festival, is an innovative collaborative project between Bold Moves and MES, with support from Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District (VRCID), The Greater Tygerberg Partnership and JayDee. The Festival’s purpose is to recognise and celebrate Tygerberg’s vibrant cultural diversity; and promote racial reconciliation. The tagline for the festival is ‘Building Bridges’ between local people, businesses and organisations irrespective of race, sex, age, faith, sexual orientation, and social / educational / economic & cultural background. The core values guiding the Festival are Respect, Love & Integrity.
